Venue: Reebok Stadium

Manchester United make the short trip to the Reebok this Weekend to face Bolton Wanderers as we try to close in on Chelsea, who play their first decent opposition of the season in Manchester City on Saturday. Currently placed 3rd on the table, we are 4 points adrift of Chelsea, but also unbeaten so far.

The team will be on a high after last week’s victory over the Scousers, the 3-2 score line does flatter to deceive as Liverpool barely created any chances and scored off a penalty and set piece. Berbatov, Nani and Scholesy are in excellent form, and we should hopefully build on last week’s performance and go on to get all 3 points against Bolton.

United be without Valencia, Hargreaves and Carrick, who are out with injuries. Hargo and Carrick have just returned to training but it’s too early for them to feature, especially Hargo. Rio Ferdinand should step in for Jonny Evans in defense; the big question will be who starts at RB, after John O’Shea’s unimpressive defensive performance against Liverpool. I’m hoping Rafael gets a chance at Right Back finally, but I think we can expect O’Shea to continue at right back.

Bolton will be missing important players through injury or suspension; they will not have the services Gary Cahill who is still suspended after getting sent off against Arsenal. Andy O’Brien, Joey O’Brien and Sean Davies are all out with injuries and are almost sure to miss the game.

United have a very important Champions league fixture midweek against Valencia, so we can expect the likes of Scholes and Giggs to be rested for the weekend. Anderson might get his first Premier league start of the season after an impressive showing against Scunthorpe in the Carling cup. Park should start ahead of Obertan and Bebe. But one of the two should make the bench for the game.

United should be playing a 4-4-2, with Berbatov and Rooney upfront, after a string shaky displays in recent weeks, all eyes will be on the defense, with Kevin Davies about to create problems, it will be a tough test for the defense. The absence of Gary Cahill and Andy O’Brien should weaken Bolton’s defense, and United should look to win this game, hopefully with a clean sheet.

Possible starting XI:
Van Der Sar; O’Shea, Rio, Vida, Evra; Nani, Fletcher, Anderson, Park; Rooney, Berbatov.

Predicted Final Score: 3-1 to United
