Preview: Blackpool v United

Rob Bromilow Tuesday, January 25, 2011
With all the speculation surrounding Charlie Adam's proposed move to Liverpool before the end of the month it is important to remember that a game is going to be played. This game was due to be played early in December and has been a game in hand for both these sides for almost 2 months.

Blackpool have impressed this season and no one is underestimating them anymore, and United will be no different this evening. Bloomfield road hosts United coming into good form in the league, recently putting 5 past Birmingham who had previously held United 1-1 in December.

It will be a crucial game for United against tricky opposition as they look to open up a 5 point gap over Arsenal at the top of the table.

Rafael returns from suspension and it is unknown if Rio Ferdinand will play or avoid the risk of aggravating his injury further. Paul Scholes could come into midfield and Dimitar Berbatov will be the man to watch for Blackpool.

Van der Sar
Rafael Ferdinand Vidic Evra
Nani Fletcher Scholes Giggs
Rooney Berbatov

Bench: Kuszczak, O'Shea, Smalling, Carrick, Anderson, Hernandez, Owen
It will be an intruiging tie and one that I am looking forward to. I just hope it'll be 3 away wins for the season after tonight and not another draw.

Prediction: Blackpool 1-2 United
