It’s been 4 days since the derby defeat at the hands of Manchester City, meanwhile we beat Aldershot comfortably with a 2nd string side that
featured none of the players who started on Sunday. And come Saturday, we play probably one of our biggest games of the season as a consequence, Everton vs Manchester United will be the match that all eyes will be on.

Manchester Derby - A Chalkboard Analysis

We have a special tactical analysis of Manchester Derby from the editor of one of my favorite Football blogs around The False 9.
The 161st Manchester derby was
one of the most horrifying experiences ever for me as a Manchester United fan.
Completely ripped apart and ruthlessly punished the Red Devils have a lot to do
if they have to retain the title.
Of course tactically the game changed
totally after Jonny Evans was sent off, but having said that United didn’t
create any good chances even when they were 11v11. A lack of a world class
midfielder is quite obvious when on the opposite side you have got someone like
David Silva stamping his authority all over the match.

This season
has been all about Manchester United’s youth bursting on to the scene and
giving our senior players a run for their money! We’ve seen Evans and Jones
keep Rio and Vida out of the team on two occasions already; while Cleverley and
Anderson grabbed the central midfield positions for themselves and kept Carrick
on the side-lines at the start of the season.

We must handle Anfield with care

Note: this article is contributed by a new writer for the blog, Leaxan Freitas. He discusses our start to the season and why we can't afford to make silly mistakes at Anfield this Saturday.
Eleven games into the season and by the time we finish up on 15th at Anfield we would have been two months into the season. What a start to the season, which really for me began in the second half of the Community Shield. Then, we lost Rio and Vidic on the opening day against West Brom. Millions of Red Devils all over the world feared for the worst, but 9 games on and we haven’t lost a single match so far.

Usually when
MLS clubs come sniffing for a big name player, he’s usually in his 30’s and
past his best, like Beckham, Henry and Marquez before. And the latest player to
be linked with a move to America is our very own fan favourite, Rio Ferdinand.

Jones isn’t the only talented young CB we have!

I’m sure the
first name that popped into everyone’s mind when they read the title of the
article was Chris Smalling, but this article isn't about him either. The player
I’m talking about hasn't really received as much plaudits from the press and
fans like Smalling and Jones have, but he has been just as impressive as the
duo.
